Studies have been done to measure the effect of corporate citizenship on consumer purchases. One such Company chose six countries to investigate. They dealt with two aspects of corporate citizenship, that is the environmental aspect and the manufacturing aspect. The Company measured consumer behaviour in relation to mercury batteries and athletic shoes. The latter was centred on the environment while athletic shoes centred on manufacturing practices since they had been made by child labour in a far off country.
