Still image becomes very distorted/pixelated in video.?

Question by Brodey: Still image becomes very distorted/pixelated in video.?
I have a still image that I am using as a backdrop for the intro into the movie I am currently making in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. I haven’t used this software much and I am wondering if someone can help me make it so the image is not so distorted. It looks alright in the preview window but not anytime else. I have tried changing resolutions, and the like but no luck. Any ideas to get it so the picture runs smooth along with the text on top of it. Thanks!

It’s all about the format you’re using to encode the video. Even though it’s a still image, it is treated as video and compressed. Try changing the format to something higher quality, will mean a larger file-size though.

Hope this helps 🙂
