‘Finding Nemo’, the animated movie by Disney makes a lot more sense as a result of my trip to The Great Barrier Reef today. I took a wonderful charter out there called the Ocean Freedom and tried another dive. I decided to rent an underwater camera yesterday after booking my diving trip. I again can’t take any HDR photos under the water but I was still able to capture some magnificent coral and the fish that inhabit it. As I mentioned before while I was in the WhitSunday Islands just south of Cairns, I can’t begin to explain to you the feel of swimming through The Great Barrier Reef. The colors, life and sounds that are experienced down there are nothing less than amazing. I think I saw just about every creature from the movie, ‘Finding Nemo’ aside from the shark of course. Capturing the coral is a bit hard as the constant bouyancy from your body and scuba diving suit doesn’t help you keep still. The fish are are extremely fast too. I bothered this poor Clown Fish family for about five minutes. They were actually quite patient and curious about the reflective mask and head that was shining just outside their home. I had a blast at the reef and hope to return someday. I’ll post some more photos tomorrow from my dive as I’m off to the bar to have a drink with some friends I met from Canada on the diving trip today. Cheers from Cairns, Australia.

I’m traveling the world right now. I’m currently in Australia in Cairns (as this photo is of the Great Barrier Reef). If you’d like to tag along with me pleas check out my HDR travel blog at www.LostManProject.com as I will try and post photos daily of my experiences.

A faster, leaner, stronger you this spring
I’ve heard all the excuses not to go to the gym: It’s still too cold out. It’s too far from where I live. I’m busy. I’m tired. I’d rather work up a sweat from eating chips and dip or cake and pie than from sheer physical exhaustion.
