Your thoughts on the movie New Moon…?

I was so excited to buy this movie when it came out since I had not gone to the theatres to see it. There was such a HUGE fan frenzy surrounding this movie, I thought it just HAD to be the greatest thing ever. Unfortunately after watching it, I think Twilight was 1000% better than New Moon. I was not impressed with New Moon at all. It was long and muddled and even cheesy at points. I cried during Twilight. I think it’s a love story for the ages, and those don’t come around very often (not since The Notebook had I been that moved). But I didn’t really have any emotions during New Moon. It was all about people breaking promises and apologizing, then breaking promises again, and so on. Got very repetitive after awhile. They also didn’t explain a lot. Most importantly, what happened to Victoria? I guess that’s supposed to be a cliff-hanger – too bad the same actress won’t be playing her in the final two movies. Secondly, when Bella saw her “visions” of Edward when engaging in reckless behavior, was HE sending her those visions or was SHE imagining them? And if HE was sending them – why? He said to Bella that she’d never see him again. And Jacob didn’t really become mean when his gift was discovered, so why did Bella make a big deal out of him changing so much personality-wise or why did he tell her to stay away? It’s all just confusing. I haven’t read the books, so maybe I’m missing a BUNCH. Another random question would include why Mike was asking Bella out? Didn’t he and Jessica go to the prom in Twilight? Did they break up? Did they ever really date? I know that seems like a small and pointless detail, but it would help with the continuity of the films, you know? And why the heck did Taylor Lautner have to “bulk” up so much for the film? They said it was because they needed a “believable” adversary for Edward. The only time they’re even face to face is at the end of New Moon and it’s only for a minute or two. That poor boy had to gain like 70 pounds of muscle or something crazy like that or else they were going to recast him. One last thing – Jacob said that if a vampire bites a human on “their” land, then the treaty is broken. That didn’t seem like that much of a threat to me. Just move away from Forks before you turn Bella. Easy-breezy. Twilight’s Score was MUCH better than New Moon’s, although New Moon’s Soundtrack might be a little better than Twilight’s. What does everyone else think about any of this?

WOAH you wrote alot. I think niether movie is all that great, the acting is kinda mediocre, and the entire movie was bella whining and being all depressed while leading an innocent guy on. the only good thing about the whole franchise was the soundtrack.
