What is the thing about writng scripts?can you just write one, sell it for lot of money and then have nothing to do with the movie?That sounds good!What are they usually sold for?Im not talking BIG movies, average ones?Who are they sold to?Anyone here ever tried?I have some ideas

Writing a script and selling it isn’t that easy. Yes, you must write one (and in the correct format in order for them to even think about buying it), but the best way to get it some hype is to enter it in screenwriting contests.
Most people who write scripts want something to do with the movie. You can do rewrites if it gets picked up, but they might have someone of their own in mind to do that.
