Windows XP movie making device?

Question by volleyball_shoty94: Windows XP movie making device?
I still have windows XP, yes i’m outdated but I’m not a fan of Vista. I have Windows movie maker and am not a fan. I’m looking for a new device to edit my videos. I was wondering if you know any free trials I could try before buying a new product. Also I don’t need it to be too professional so not too expensive either. Thanks! 🙂

A couple of popular commercial video editing programs are Adobe Premiere (plus Adobe After Effects) and Sony Vegas. Both of them probably have trials you can download, however licenses for them are quite expensive (Vegas Pro is $ 599.95 and Premiere Pro CS4 is $ 799). If you’re looking for semi-professional, then you’ll have to pay that much. If you want something cheap or free, then I would recommend sticking with Windows Movie Maker.

If you can’t stand Windows Movie Maker, you could try some of the free alternatives like Wax (http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ ).
