On my camera,it plays fine,but on windows live movie maker its s laggy and loses its sound, how can I fix it?

Windows live movie maker support a wide range of video formats. you need to figure out first what format your video is. Is it AVCHD?
The reason lead to the situation you mentioned mostly because of incompatibility of formats.you can use some program to help to comvert the video to avi or wmv that is preferred by Window live movie maker.
