Will personal home movies I burn to a dvd be accessable in the UK, if not what are my options?

Question by gduqui: Will personal home movies I burn to a dvd be accessable in the UK, if not what are my options?
My wife is traveling to England to visit family and would like to take a copy of some home movies of the kids. I had suggested taking a USB device with all the data saved so that they can view it on a PC but if that isn’t an option…will the DVDs I burn work in the UK? Do I need some additional software to make the process easier…any help would be greatly appreciated
Sorry, I live in the States…

You haven’t said where you are. You’re OK if you’re already making a PAL DVD, but even an NTSC one should be OK – most TV equipment over here is dual standard (much like our politicians!).

OK, if you’re in the US you’ll be making NTSC DVDs – not ideal, but they’ll probably be OK. They’ll certainly play on any PC.

If you’re worried about region coding, don’t be – that only applies to commercial DVDs.
