These days, most movies seem to be sequels or re-makes, and most actors (especially the younger ones) seem to be cast based solely on ‘good looks’. Of course, there is nothing wrong with ‘good looks’ but I should think that acting skills are a prerequisite, and ‘good looks’ are a bonus.
But these days, most young actors are cast solely on ‘good looks’ and a lot of them seem to have no acting skill whatsoever.
Should Hollywood and the rest of the movie business make more original movies, stop making so many sequels and re-makes and hire actors with real acting skills?
Remember: ‘good looks’ are temporary, bad acting skills are forever.
