What’s the name of this marine boot camp movie?

Question by Crab Z: What’s the name of this marine boot camp movie?
This movie takes place during WWII or the Vietnam war, but it focuses on the boot camp experience of a bunch of new recruits coming to Parris Island straight from Fort Knox. The first thing they do is ask where the bathroom is, to which the Drill Instructor answers that they don’t have bathrooms, and they’re called latrines.
Then the Drill Instructor takes roll call, asking that each person answers “eye” when their name is called. One of the recruits tries to be funny and answers “eye eye”, and for the rest of the movie the Drill Instructor is particularly mean to this recruit.
Often when someone must be chosen to do a dirty job, the Drill Instructor asks one of the recruits to choose who will do it. This recruit is not allowed to choose himself, since that would be too easy. The Drill Instructor puts his ear near that recruit’s mouth, then yells out the name of the biggest recruit of the bunch, even though the recruit who was making the choice never said anything.
Among the recruits there are two Jewish guys. One of them is quiet and tries not to interfere. The other one is often at odds with the Drill Instructor. One time, the instructor stole some money from one of the recruit’s lockers, and makes the recruits decide among themselves who will pay it back. The Jewish guy says it was him and pays the money. He then tells the instructor that he saw him steal the money, but didn’t want to create more conflict among the recruits.

That’s all I remember about the movie. It was really funny and I would like to see the rest of it. Can someone tell me the name?
