I am looking for something to make movies from 8mm camcorder and VHS tapes. I have video-Oh and it has SHOWBIZ editing software but it crashes all the time and has all kinds of problems. It is very easy to use though but I think the problem lies with the capture of the analog media. I will someday get a digital camcorder but I have a lot of old stuff I want to convert and make into DVDs.

Nero is good. Microsoft Movie Maker is free. Comes free on most computers. I have made great edited home movies with it.
