DAY 43/365: By Gary Paulsen
making a book into a movie
You know how sometimes, when you’re reading a book, you just get transported into the story? When I read this book for the first time, I was right there with the two boys: battling commie pigs and rabid roosters, hunting for mice in the hay field, and strapping myself onto the bicycle/washing machine motor hybrid only to be propelled down the dirt lane at a breakneck speed. Often, when I eat pancakes, I secretly fear that Louis will suddenly appear and steal the whole stack before I can get a bite for myself.

"Harris & Me" is one of the most hilarious YA books I’ve ever read and I can’t, for the life of me, figure out why it’s never been made into a movie. Don’t they realize that I’d certainly wait in line to buy my ticket?
Well, I would.

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment: "Continuing the Friday fun theme, make a photo that goes with the title of a book you’ve read."
