Unfortunately there are very few programs that are both GOOD and FREE. You have to buy them in the store or online.
Nero has always proven to be a good burner and an excellent way to edit home videos. Cyberlink has good software too. However these cost money.
But don’t get discouraged. Windows Movie Maker for Vista is a VERY good program. It has been IMPROVED real good since XP. I really recommend you to download this program. I am pretty sure you can download it at Microsoft’s website.
