What makes Slumdog Millionaire a good movie?

Question by Free Parking: What makes Slumdog Millionaire a good movie?
I just got done watching it for the first time and I found it boring… VERY boring. Why do people like this movie? Maybe if someone can make a valid point, I can learn to appreciate it.
