What is a good video editing software for long vids?

Question by wprosser2008: What is a good video editing software for long vids?
I saw a video on youtube claiming to be the longest on the site. It was about 25 days and pretty much NO content. I thought, I could do that easy. But I tried doing it on Windows Movie Maker and the program froze after my unfinished “movie” hit about 9 hours. A long shot from 25 days. What editing software would be good to make such a long video? Any would be appreciated. Free or otherwise. Thank you for your help!

That sounds like a really pointless project but I guess you could try Sony Vegas or VirtualDub which is free. That’ll take days to compress, upload, and process.
