How do I go about starting a movie production company. Such as Lions Gate films etc

You don’t need anything but contacts. Go and register a company at your local city hall. Everything you need to make a movie can be rented and hired. You need to find scripts, a director, potential actors and then find investors, get rental pricing on equipment and studios and sell the idea to people with money to invest. All you need is office space, a computer, a good suit and lots of support.
Sales ability and determination are a must. Start small and grow. take a college course in film if you want some credibility.
Movie production is a salesman’s game.
