I’m still in high school and I hope to be a screen writer one day my basic plan is to go to college get a bachelor’s in something as a back up plan then move out west and try to sell a script. I was just wondering what field should I get my degree in. Its gotta be something that will earn me enough money for an apartment when I move out west but not so time consuming that I wont be able to write and it has to be something that if I fail at being a screenwriter I can get a masters degree in it and make it my career. My strengths are History, Biology, & Writing(English)

How about a degree in English, with a teaching certificate?
