OUT NOW! – iTunes – itunes.apple.com Beatport – www.beatport.com Audio Jelly – www.audiojelly.com Track It Down – www.trackitdown.net Juno – www.junodownload.com Dance-Tunes – www.dance-tunes.com With each release that goes by, it becomes increasingly obvious that Arty is in a league of his own right now. Following from the euphoric anthem ‘The Wonder’, the Russian boy wonder’s latest Anjunabeats track – ‘Zara’ – offers another inventive, forward-thinking take on trance and further cements his reputation as the leading light in today’s scene. Noticeably funkier than a lot of today’s trance, ‘Zara’ builds with waves of choppy, electro-charged grooves, before taking us into a characteristically musical breakdown that has been providing a highlight moment in Above & Beyond’s recent sets. Coming together perfectly after the break, soaring melody and deep electronic groove combine to give us one of Arty’s finest works to date. Making an all-too-rare appearance on Anjunabeats, the veteran innovator Oliver Smith delivers a classy alternative remix that touches on Toolroom-style electronic house before introducing a clean, striking interpretation on the original melodies. A perfect contrast, it all makes for another untouchable Arty release.
