Q&A: Would you watch this movie/ read this book?

Question by j: Would you watch this movie/ read this book?
I’m still a teen, so please don’t say it should be more mature or anything, and I’m just writing it for fun.
It’s almost like the Little Mermaid (my inspiration), but really different. 8 sisters live in the castle of an Underwater world (they are part of the royal family).
Like in the Little Mermaid, when a mermaid turns 15, they get to explore the “Land World”. (not underwater). Each sister is gorgeous and talented, but each has a HUGE weakness, or downfall, which ruins lots of relationships.
The girls don’t wear a typical mermaid tail and shell top, they wear real clothes, but they don’t get ruined.
The Sisters-
Sabina- Sabina is the eldest daughter. She’s 23. Her hair is long, straight, and blonde, and some people describe is as “handspun golden wheat” (still working on it).
She usually wears a small black dress with lots of odd cuts in it, with a high neckline, over a dark purple tank top. Sabina is considered the most attractive of the sisters. Her weakness is her wealth. She is granted with the most of the shares of whatever comes into the family, and loves it. Jewels and money are her best friends. The first time she stepped on land, she looked around at the gorgeous sweeping beaches, and bright blue waters, and the first thing she does is goes to a tiny jewelry store she sees. Her prized possession is a a treasure chest full of jewels.
Simone- Simone is the second oldest daughter, at age 22. Her hair is so light blonde it’s almost white. Her’s is medium length, and very thick. Simone is extremely jealous of Sabina’s beauty, so therefor she is obsessed with trying to make herself what she considers “pretty”.
She most often wears a black swimsuit with green and pink flowers, and a sheer yellow coverup with golden sash. Her weakness is a mirror, in which she admires herself, and always tries to look better.
Skylar- Skylar’s the 3rd oldest child, at 21, and has short black hair. She’s the feistiest of the 8, and is always out killing danger.
She typically wears a thick strap black mini mini dress, with dark colored scales at the bottom. Her weakness is she is a fighter, and she loves her bejeweled sword.
Serrena- Serrena is the twin of Selena, although they look nothing alike. They are 20 years old. Serrena has dark brown long wavy hair. She wears a dark purple short dress, with almost a tutu bottom. Her weakness is a black pointy puff of energy. It has magic powers, only revealed later in the movie/book.
Selena- Selena is the twin of Serrena, with light brown, medium length wavy hair. Selena is also very gorgeous, and is constantly using her magic puff to ward of obsessed fans. She overuses her puff.
She commonly wears the same dress as Serrena, in yellow. Her weakness is the same energy puff, in orange.
Sophia- Sophia is the character most focused on. At 15, she is going to go to the main land soon. She has a light auburn colored hair, a little longer than shoulder length, with lots of curls/waves.
Sophia’s favorite outfit is a mid thigh length, light, flowy yellow dress. Sophia’s weakness is she wants more. Of anything she has. Like Ariel, she has trinkets and luck and friends- but she wants even more. Her prized possession is a pink starfish that can be turned into anything she wants.
Sapphire- Sapphire is the youngest, at 14 years old. Her hair is almost like an afro, but not puffy on the top. It’s very curly, with a brown red (more red) color, like this-

not really an afro at all…Haha.
She loves changing up her look, but she mostly wears a long light green dress, (ankle length), and no jewelry. Weakness is she fixes her hair every second possible. Her prized possession is a jeweled hairbrush.
Anyway, Sophia wants to be different. That’s what she tells her mom. She wants to be on land and in water, because she falls in love on land. Everyone gets the choice of one or the other, but Sophia couldn’t leave her love or her family and friends.
When she sneaks out of her house to think, she gets angry. “I want both!” She yells to herself. Too bad her starfish can’t create it. She goes to a famous underwater master for help. She makes her a deal- give up your possession. But then she thinks again. The Master had heard of the sisters and their weaknesses, and decided to help them ALL. It was a contest. They all gave up their items. The winner would get what they wanted most, (whoever went longest). Sophia will lose both her voice and her star fish is she got below a certain place between them all. I can’t tell you the ending, and the part with The Master is still a little fuzzy, but the general idea?
Good? Bad? Good characters?
Thanks! 😀
Also, “Pretty” (that’s the answerers name)- I don’t get what you’re saying about this level and stuff. It doesn’t make much sense- it has to do with the book…how?
Yeah, lol, to tell you the truth, I don’t really get the magic puff thing, I just know it’s like a puff of colored air that they can hold, and it has some kind of magic power. And about the characters, it’s mostly about Sophia, so those are just some side characters. The only thing really you should know while reading it is their names and weakness. The rest is just so you get a good image in your head. Thanks!

I think there are way too many characters…its a little hard to keep track. I don’t really get the whole ‘magic puff thing’…
but other than that, its not too bad. i like it:)
