Q&A: Which Lens should I buy for my Canon T2I for Shooting videos ?

Question by : Which Lens should I buy for my Canon T2I for Shooting videos ?
I Just bought a Canon T2i Rebel on ebay. It’s on it’s way. Should be here tommorow or the day after. My primary intention is to make videos. Unfortunately I don’t have enough money to buy High end cameras , which is why I bought this lowest end High Quality camera with additional softwares to make movies..

I will be Shooting movies . That’s my primary focus and I can spend right now just enough for ONE lens. I know it will make sense if I had enough cash to have enough lens in my Arsenel. But unfortunately that’s not the case with my financial situation. Which One lens would you reccomend that would cover me? The lens in your answer will be what I will be using to shoot next week! I will be making movies ( No long/distant shots .. )

Thanks.
I am not sure how much the cheapest lens cost. But I can spend $ 100-$ 150 . At the Most !!- $ 200…

“just enough for ONE lens” doesn’t tell us anything about the budget you’re working with. Care to be a bit more specific on that?

Edit: Okay, so you bought a camera without researching anything ahead of time to see what you’d have to spend on lenses for it? That’s kind of silly.

Your best bet will probably be the EF 50mm f/1.8 II. Save your money for a while and you’ll be able to add a good zoom later on.
