This movie disturbs me…
Young children have not yet developed the psychological faculties to defend themselves against manipulation. By nature they are very influential to what they are told in the earlier years and religion takes advantage of this. Emotional activities, music, dancing and telling kids they are chosen and important to a magical god encourages them to profess faith. They are taught faith is everything and to subconsciously reject anything that says otherwise. Common youth programs such as F.R.O.G. are candy coated campaigns for tricking kids to Fully Rely on God and to never question what the church says about him. The Christian Church knows children are the future so various “kid friendly” organizations have targeted kids with religious propaganda leaving them a distorted view of the world.Although i believe many parents are sincere in their beliefs and they truly want what is best for their kids, but is sincerity enough to justify what can only be called blatant manipulation of children’s emotions? Children should be nurtured and taught the basic facts of life then allowed to make their own viewpoints based on what they learned. If a parent is confident in their beliefs then there is no need to push religion on a child before they are old enough to make rational decisions and personal believes.
