Must have:
Audio-in connection (mic jack)
Manual audio control
Good to have:
Lenses larger than 40mm filter diameter
As many manual controls on the outside of the camcorder (not buried in a menu)
Other things to have in the budget:
Tripod – or other steadying device. Try to never shoot handheld – ever
Video light
Case
One or two optional high capacity batteries (from the camcorder manufacturer)
Wireless lavaliere mic (or two)
shotgun mic
boom and shockmount
There’s more, but this would be a good start
Canon HV40 or HF S200
