Q&A: What editing software does the History Channel editors use?

Question by gabrielkrud: What editing software does the History Channel editors use?
What do most channels like, MTV, Discovery, History and so on, use to edit and add those crazy graphics and beautiful color? It looks almost like a movie, even though it’s just documentary. They even take home videos sometimes with a normal crappy camera and make it look so good. The sky is always so much more blue, then my digital hi8 camera. I know there is software like AVID and Final Cut Pro, and even Adobe Premiere, but what do those editors use?
