Q&A: Watching a Blu-Ray movie on PS3?

Question by Joe: Watching a Blu-Ray movie on PS3?
I’ve had my PS3 since Christmas and I just tried to watch the Dark Knight in Blu-Ray tonight and it was not working. This is the story.

I play my PS3 in my room which has a normal Non-HDTV but to watch the Blu-Ray movie I brought it down to my living room which has a 720P/1080i TV. I unplugged the HDMI cable from my DVR box and plugged it into the PS3. I have done this for HD before and it worked fine. I set up 720P HD. After I clicked on the icon in the video section on the XMB. It said “Dark Knight Blu-Ray” so it knew what the BD was in there. I clicked play. It started loading but a weird blurry screen just came up after about 10 seconds of waiting. I then put my regular AV cables in the PS3 and set them up and the movie worked fine. So what can I do to fix the problem? Is there a setting I need to have a certain way in the video or output settings?

I don’t know a lot about technology so make it easy to understand. Thanks!
