Q&A: Sims 2 disappearing neighborhood?

Question by Komori202: Sims 2 disappearing neighborhood?
I’ve been using Riverblossom Hills on Sims 2 for movie making. It was working fine until one day when I went on the Sims 2 and it was gone. It shows up as unknown on SimPE, all my files are still there. Is there anyway I can get it back. Please help
G001 is not in my TS data neighborhood folder but it is in my documents neighborhood folder

Gosh there seems to be an epidemic of disappearing neighbourhoods lately! Sometimes this can happen after a bad shut down, or due to your computer not having much memory, but sometimes for no apparent reason at all.

I’m assuming you have no G001 (Riverblossom Hills) folder in your neighbourhoods folder either? The filepath for that folder is this: C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods
If that’s true try this: Look in Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims
2\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods

Riverblossom Hills should be numbered G001.

Now this is very important: Copy (do not move, whatever you do) the G001 folder to this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods

I hope this works!
