Q&A: Should I spend the money?

I want to go to a camp for 3 weeks that will cost around 7 thousand dollars. It’s in Disney World and it’s a movie directing camp. 3k or so is for the classes, equipment, park tickets and such. 4k or so is for the hotel, food, flight. I’ve had little/no experience in movie making, and I’m worried that it’s too much money and that I’m not positive it’s what I’m going to do in life. My grandmother and I are pitching in a combined 2k or so, my dad 3k and my mom 2k. Here are my questions:

Should I do it? The hotel is 2k itself, could I find a cheaper way to stay? Is it worth it? Because I’m not sure it’s worth the money.
The thing is, for our family it’s a bit much but everyone thinks I should do it. Why I’m second guessing everyone is because even though the money might not be a lot for us, it is for many others. I like being frugal.
