Q&A: Need help in burning movie DVD’s the right way.?

Question by Avery: Need help in burning movie DVD’s the right way.?
I’ve been burning video DVD’s for a while. But the result is always 50-50. Sometimes the player won’t play them at all, sometimes it plays but skips a lot or freezes in between. Often even though the burning software SAYS the movie will fit, it still gets cut when burned. I haven’t bothered to fix this till now, but for her bday this year, i want to gift my mother a dvd of music videos so I wanted to make sure I get the burning right. I use only DVD-R’s. The burning software I use is Nero Vision. The dvd player we use is KLH Digital HA9000, which I think is the real problem. I know my computer has ample space so that is definitely not the problem. Other burners I have tried include Ashampoo Burning studio. If i need a better burner than Nero, please tell me, buying new software isn’t a problem. Also, I recently read that DVD Shrink might help me with the “fitting everything onto the dvd” problem. Is this true? If you need more specs, please ask! Thanks for helping! 🙂
