Q&A: Making a Movie, need help with background music!?

Question by yowza94: Making a Movie, need help with background music!?
We are making a movie for school, and we took a whole bunch of videos. We edited them and put it together. Only problem is that there’s a lot of noise in the videos. How can we take out the noise from the video and put in a song? Preferably using windows movie maker. Otherwise if that doesn’t work anything else will do (preferably windows XP compatible) also, in between scenes, there’s like these black spaces . Is there any possible way to remove it?

right click on the videos u used and select mute. then get a song you like, save it, and import it onto movie maker. then just drag it on to the storyboard/timeline. for the black spaces you can shorten the clips to get rid of them or use transitions to mask them.

-if the noise u are trying to get rid of is just in the background and u dont want to get rid of the entire audio, then i suggest u just add a song to play at the same time, of course you’d have to right click the song and lower the volume so that u can still here whats going on in the video.
