Q&A: Kodac EasyShare Z1275??

I bought one of these digital camera’s over the holidays and just love the quality of the pic’s and movie’s that it makes.
But am having one small situation – is there a way to see what the battery level is that is left??
I have read thru all the manual that came with it – been thru all stuff on the the camera – been to the website and contacted the Kodac. Their response was that there is an icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen but that just shows a small square box not a battery icon.
I’m asking this because at the beginning I was having a battery problem where I could only take a few pic’s then the battery icon would flash on and the camera would shut off. I would have to replace the batteries after only a few shots. I have since replaced with rechargables and this seems to have solved the problem but would still love to know the charge level of the batteries installed in the camera. Thanks for any help.
