I’m new to making videos and I’ve been trying to upload 2 .avi clips to WMM. At first, they “could not be imported” because of a missing codec. After downloading FFDShow SSE, they are still unable to be imported, but now it is because the “Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box”. But when I go to Tools>Options, there is no “Download codecs automatically” check box on any of the tabs. What can I do to import the 2 clips?

use a software called total video converter convert any clip to the suitable format and then upload it.
