You’ve been a big inspiration. – I had this animation in mind when I first saw the comic around September last year. Back then, however, I really didn’t know much about what I was doing, nor had I really got into 2D animation yet. When I did get into it, I didn’t have the resources to do it. Being pretty lazy, I never got around to making the things I needed for this. With time, puppet rigs and Flash Resource Packs have come out (links further down) that assisted me in getting better at Flash, and now to make something I’ve wanted to for quite a while. With the recent addition of Flamingo1986’s Rainbow Dash puppet rigs, I found I was quite ready to actually make this. I needed to acquire a vector artist (Popmannn) who could trace the scenery and objects. Interestingly, I did not have Capt-Nemos permission to make this animation, because I wanted it to be a surprise. Lucky me, he loved it! This took 3 days to animate, with breaks – but a good two weeks total with vectorization and planning. So I hope you’ll enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
