Media servers, PS3’s, DVRs, Antenna…what’s the best option?

Question by tjlmbklr: Media servers, PS3’s, DVRs, Antenna…what’s the best option?
I own a PS3 and love it’s media streaming capabilities. I recently got rid of my AT&T Uverse to down grade my TV watching to save money and to not be a a slave to pay for what I can get for free (to an extent). I strictly use my PC’s and my internet connection for all my media desires and want to know how to make it better.

I know building a Media PC is popular and I know there are products like the EchoStar TR-50 HD DVR to record my broadcast TV (for antenna only). So what is better, should just get a tuner card for my PC and software to set up a DVR on it. But then I need to know I can stream to my home theater. Also I should mention I use other streaming through PS3 like my stored media (movies, music & pictures) as well as HULU & NetFlix.

I know there is a ton of info on the web but I am hoping yahoo answers will give me the best answer rather then tooling multiple sections of multiple forums all to get multiple answers.

Oh did I mention I am looking for a low cost answer (lowest possible that is)

Lowest cost? Just get a decent TV-tuner card and plug your PC straight into TV (most of modern video cards allow that, the newest ones come with HDMI). Set your TV as a second monitor and that’s it.
