Making a slide show with windows movie maker.. I’m trying to burn it on a dvd with cyberlink power2go help!!

Question by Alysia: Making a slide show with windows movie maker.. I’m trying to burn it on a dvd with cyberlink power2go help!!
My slide show consists of many different songs which i ripped onto my computer using windows media player. None of the songs are played at full lengths, just enough time to cover certain pictures that the song “matches” to. It has tons of different pictures all that show at between 2-5 seconds. I also have a couple clips from movies i’ve taken. Between each picture there are different effects and transitions i put on. Also i added some wording to a couple of the pictures. When i go to burn it using Cyberlink power2go it goes throught the encoding process up to 100% and then a box pops up saying an unknown error has occured. When i try to use Power2go express it says some file cannot be added because the formats are not supported or the files could not be found. Can anyone help me resolve this or let me know of a free download that i can get so i will be able to burn this movie to a dvd for my family by christmas!?!?!
I’m using windows vista.

I would suggest two things:

1. Do the slide/still photography part on Windows Photostory
It’s a far easier process and gives you the ability of zooming, panning, tilting etc.

2. Then import the slideshow into Ulead Moviestudio 8, which gives you the ability to add your video. Ulead Moviestudio 8 will give you a 30 day trial period in which time you should be able to complete your project.

I cut a presentation in this way and it worked out perfectly.
We even presented it through a laptop through a projector onto a screen. The sound went through a stereo so that we could set the speakers as wide as possible.

You might want to go to http://www.archive.org/index.php
and take a professional intro from one of the old films in their archives.

If this is all too much work for you at this time and your project is complete save for burning, I’ve never had any problems burning a DVD just by using Windows Media Player.
In fact the only time I’ve had problems is by using other products.
