Making a 2 minute movie in Windows MovieMaker using pieces of a bunch of video clips…how do I do it/?

Question by Answer_Boy: Making a 2 minute movie in Windows MovieMaker using pieces of a bunch of video clips…how do I do it/?
I have to make up this video for a class project due Wednesday morning. I already have my movies filmed and I know they are compatible with MovieMaker, but I don’t know how to take the best snippets from my clips, paste them together (in order) and record narration (or put music) over the movie.

Can someone explain how to do tit n a way that is not confusing for this unfortunate technophobe?

Thanks! 🙂

say for eg you have imported videos A & B that are of 10 min & 20 min duration respectively, and you want to join first 5 min of video A with last 10 min of video B.
Click on the import button on the top left to import the videos to movie maker.
After importing them, double click on video A and it should be played in the player on the right side.
while the Video is being Played pay attention & click on the split button below the player as soon as the required scene is reached (in our eg: 5 min time).
Then the video will be split into first 5 min (A1) and next 5 min (A2).
Follow the same procedure by playing video B and splitting into fifrst 10 min(B1) and last 10 min (B2).
Then drag A1 followed by B2 to the ‘video’ area in the timeline.
Record an audio user some program to your computer (go to start>type sound recorder, you’ll be able to see sound recorder in many operating systems). Then import the audio to the ‘audio’ area in the timeline. you can split that audio as many times and match to the exact portion of the video.

Then click on the ‘Publish to this computer’ option from the left pane.
You would be able to save the video with that audio.
go on.
