"Have you every thought about running away before?" he said.
"Once. It was when I was very little. I didn’t get very far though," she said.
"What happened?"
"After my mom came home from work, my brother and her went looking for me. They drove for hours until they eventually found me. I took the bus to McKinley Park and hid inside the small wooden dome that was in the playground. They were about to call the police when they found me. I guess I haven’t thought about it since then. Why do you ask?"
"I don’t know. I’ve never run away before, but I always wonder what it would feel like."
"It’s not as exciting as how the movies and books make it."
"Maybe you didn’t go far enough,"
"Maybe."

"Do you come here often?" she said.
"Yeah. I guess you can say that. On cloudy days," he said.
"Any reason or are you just being melodramatic again."
"No, I’m not. Usually you can’t see clouds at night right? But I don’t know, if you come at the right time you can see them sometimes. It’s almost like the it’s the middle of the day for them when they pass by here, but everything else around them is night. It makes me feel…I guess I don’t know it makes me feel."

"Sorry, I guess I’m not making any sense," he said.
"Hmm…I think I sort of get it. It’s alright though, I knew already that you were kind of weird," she said.
"What makes you say that?"
"Because only you would think of that."
"I guess."
"Don’t worry. It’s a good thing"

"Just let me know if you want to go," he said.
"We don’t have to. I want to stay a little bit longer," she said.
