Are they ever gonna make a live action Jetsons movie? I think they have the technology to do it. I want one because The Jetsons I feel are more important than The Pink Panther, Speen Racer, and Yogi Bear. Almost every classic cartoon has a live action movie but The Jetsons like: Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Josie and The Pussycats, Pink Panther, Richy Rich, Yogi Bear, & Casper.

The Pink Panther movie wasn’t based on the cartoon.
When the original movie (around 1965) was filmed, the Producer/Director Blake Edwards hire Friz Freleng (of Warner Brothers/Looney Tunes fame) to make an animated sequence for the film’s opening credits. The “Pink Panther” is actually the name of the diamond that gets stolen but Freleng’s new studio created an animated pink-colored panther to romp around for a couple of minutes during the opening credits.
The animated opening was so original such a hit (people actually stood and applauded the opening credits at the premiere) that Freleng and his studio partner decided to take advantage of the opportunity and began producing cartoons. At least one won an Oscar.

To answer your question, it probably will be made. You’re right – the technology is there. Plus, Hollywood values the fact that there is a high-level of awareness and a built-in viewing audience already that will encourage some investors to put money behind the project.
To me, though, most of the live action movies based on cartoons have stunk and unless I hear very good things I doubt I will watch. I prefer the cartoons.
