Question by copypaste22: Is it ok if I insert a video clip of another movie in my movie?
I want to make an independent short film, but I’ll make reference of a scene in the movie “Waking Life”. Is it ok if in a scene in my movie the character is watching Waking Life? My film will not be for commercial purposes. Do I have to get permission?

as long as you don’t profit on it, I think it will be ok.
