In Cosplay, the serious competitions, r the scripts written urself, or do u take the script from the anime?

Question by Superstar2559: In Cosplay, the serious competitions, r the scripts written urself, or do u take the script from the anime?
I’m talking about the competitions ones, not the casual. Does it have to be written yourself or can u take it word for word out of a scene? Do the judges prefer one over the other? If theres anyone with any experience I’d like to here your account.

I’m assuming you mean the skits in masquerades. Cosplay is the act of dressing up, so a serious cosplay is a well done, thought out costume.

Most of them are written by others. About 90% of them are. I’ve seen ONE skit taken from an anime, because they were reenacting a scene. Most skits are not reenactments.
However, most skits are based on comedy than drama, so it depends on whichever you plan on doing.
