Question by Tom Monte: Im making a movie w/ Windows Movie Maker 2.6 & when I go back in the timeline the music won’t match the vid..?
Im tryin to make a movie with Windows Movie Maker 2.6 & when I go back in the time line to edit things, the music doesn’t match the video unless I watch it from the very beginning. What do I do? I’ve been editing this way for 3 days now, I’ve been going back to the very beginning to press play to review the changes I’ve made. What a pain in the you know what. Any tips?

Well, you said the music is in sync if you watch it from the very beginning, right? Then that means your movie is OK, but that you cannot just jump into the middle and edit, or listen to it in sync, etc. I am assuming I understand this correctly.

This sounds like it would be Windows Movie Maker saving stuff in wmv, which is over compressed and inferior to use format. The only way to get around this is to save your project now in avi and re-edit it. Or to use a better editor if Windows Movie Maker will not let you import avi, but I think it does

Always import avi or mpg to avoid this problem. If you import wmv, then this is likely to occur
