Question by jcruz2us: If my friend owns a DVD movie, is it illegal for me to make a DVD backup for him?
First of all I live in the US.

I have a DVD burner and my friend owns some movies that he would like to back up. Would I be committing a crime if I make copies for his personal use? What about making a digital copy for an ipod?
