my girlfriend just got me a high def camcorder. i want to make a movie but at this point i know nothing about video editing. the software that came with it is very limiting. i cant and text or sound. im looking for something that is easy to use and has the ability to cut and paste add sound texts things of this nature thank you for your time and your help in this matter. ty

Get a Mac and use iMovie. It works flawlessly for beginners.
If you’re on the pc and/or you don’t want to spend extra cash, you can just use Windows Movie Maker. It’s basic, but it does its job.
