How to import a DVD into Final Cut Pro

This video was created before Final Cut Pro X. It assumes that you have installed a full version of Final Cut Studio which includes the MPEG-2 Component needed to read most DVDs. If you’re having problems and don’t want to spend money on the component, check out my video showing you how to use HandBrake to rip a dvd. Ever wanted to rip a DVD to your computer? Editing inside of Final Cut Pro is awesome but, this can change very quickly if you don’t bring in the right formats. In this Final Cut Pro 7 tutorial, I show you how to convert a DVD into a usable file for Final Cut.
