Question by A Happy-Go-Lucky Blob.: How do you record a voice clip using a desktop microphone?
I need to record my voice for a documentary for school. I have Windows 7 (if that matters) and I need to know how to record using a desktop microphone so I can make a documentary using Windows Live Movie Maker.

Thanks for the help in advance 🙂

Also, this is for a project for an NHD (National History Day) competition- if anyone’s heard of it do you have any advice?

Try Audacity..
Plug the mic in, select “microphone” from the drop down list at the top right of the program, click the record button and speak.
The recording level might need to be adjusted.
