Question by Ari: How can is start making movies professionally?
I asked this question before but i didn’t see any answers that i was looking for. I am 14 years old and i want to get a headstart on making movies. I don’t wanna go to those movie making classes over the summer, cause that would probably mean that i would have to go to the city a lot (I live in new york). I need to know how to get started. What equipment should i use and how can i learn to add effects and all of that good stuff in films. In youtube people make a lot of those cool short films, how do i start?? I would love for someone to answer me. Not with the answer go to film classes in colleges. I need more than that.

As for effects, those guys most likely used Adobe After Effects. It’s a really robust program that lets you create pretty much anything you can think of. It’s not to say that you couldn’t make crazy effects without After Effects, you just have to work with what you have.
