How can I change a video file taken from my digital camera to make it compatable with Windows Movie Maker?

Question by Brittany: How can I change a video file taken from my digital camera to make it compatable with Windows Movie Maker?
I have a Kodak EasyShare M853, and I’m working on a video for a school project. My videos turned out good but when I tried to upload the file to movie maker, it couldnt read the file. Is there some way I can convert this?

hey, first of all find out what type of file it is your trying to deal with, wether it be a .mp4, .mpg, .avi. or whatever. then just simply google for a converter, you get some free ones with 30 day trials. or if you like search on some torrent sites for a cracked version. vso is quite good. you need to convert it to a .mpeg2 for it to work in media player.
