Hi my HDTV/Plasma it says that it has 600Hz?

Question by Tito’s Pin-Up: Hi my HDTV/Plasma it says that it has 600Hz?
Hi my HDTV/Plasma is 1080P & it has 600Hz. I also display my Playstation 3 to 1080P. How do I know my HDTV/Plasma is using 600Hz when I watch HD channels or Blu-ray movies? I check my book manual to make sure my HDTV/Plasma is using 600Hz but I can’t find it on settings. Is it already 600Hz or do I have to switch on or off? I’m using Belkin 1.3a HDMI cable & do I have to buy a HDMI cable that it will support 600HZ? I am new to this HD stuff & please let me know & thanks everyone!

There should be a setting to turn it off..(go back to 60 cycles.) I find that it sometimes makes movies look strange, and turn it off! I see very little effect on anything when it is on, from a reasonable viewing distance. Nothing to do with your HDMI cable.
