Has anyone got efficient ways of making a girl shut up, without resorting to rudeness ?

Question by the King of the Divan: Has anyone got efficient ways of making a girl shut up, without resorting to rudeness ?
Well, I’m living together with someone to share the costs. Been that way for approximately a year or so. In 2009 my girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend, causing me to find a new place, and that’s how I ended up with my roommate. She’s a girl of about my age, well, woman, you know what I mean.

Anyway, since that time I haven’t had a relationship anymore and practically stayed indoors, apart for groceries, swimming and working. She now tries to encourage me to go out a bit more, to the park, dinner at a restaurant, to a club and so on. She’s very attentive, and tries to do her best to make it comfortable for me.

However, last week she was asking me if we’d go to the movies. I didn’t want to, so after a lot of nagging she went alone. I took care of business of my own, and I pulled out the hookah and fruit tobacco. So I was smoking fruit tobacco in my own room (so not in the shared area) with the window open so that it wouldn’t make the whole house smell.

Anyway, my roommate came back and barged in my room, and I was asleep next to the water pipe. She woke me and asked an explanation for the pipe. I told her to mind her own business, and went back to sleep.

Now, for several days, she keeps asking about it, and acts as if I have a problem. I have already told her that I don’t smoke pot, and it’s tobacco, perfectly legal. But she keeps saying she is worried about me, that I’d much rather go out more instead of smoking ‘that junk’. And she can’t seem to shut up anymore. Has anyone got efficient tricks to make her shut up, but not being rude?

Sit her down and tell her, “Look, i appreciate you worrying about me, however, i do not need your assistance. This is tobacco, you can smell it, it is perfectly legal. I would appreciate if we could drop this line of conversation.” Then after that, if she doesn’t stop threaten to move out. You might have to.
