Good computer software?

Question by Chris: Good computer software?
I am making a movie and want to do concept art for stuff like set and character design. I would also like to do animatics(animated storyboards). I wanted to know if there is any freeware or cheap software to do these things. I l would like to keep it simple because my processor sucks.
