i need to know what the best computer and processor for making pro 3d movies like tron legacy and tranformers is. i use 3ds max blender and cinema 4d i can make really awesome stuff but my computer lags horrible if i subdivide to much so i can only really make models fit for games but i want to make models fit for 3d animated movies i can work up the money i just need to know what pc and what processor to use i perfer windows but ill use mac if i have to i also do know of subsurf which is in most 3d softwares but i cant get past level 3 subsurf. an ideal budget for me would be 10 grand or under it would take months of saving and odd jobs but i could make up that much money money. i would also like to sell these movies so keep that in mind. the level of subdivision or subsurf would be 7-10 to make semi realistic characters and objects

its the latest processor out, it is best for high quality HD video rendering
it has 8 cores the most cores any processor has and cores is extremely useful in what you are doing,
and 10 grand you have ? you dont even need to spend over 2 grand, buying a mac was a bad & costly option, a videocard is also important aswell as ram you’d be wanting atleast 8-10GB of ram
and for a video card a HD 6770 will be more than enough, since your aren’t going to game and try max out Battlefield 3 on highest settings which is an very graphic intense game.
