Something similar to Windows MovieMaker but which doesn’t crash, already tried Sony Vegas, adobe premiere and videospin…..just need something basic were i can add video clips, add music and add titles and things..preferably XP

Try the one I am using, Wondershare Movie Story. I think is the best alternative to Windows Movie Maker. You get merits:

1. Add titles (captions) as lyric of your music video
2. Import videos clips, photos and background music and everything
3. Tons of transition and motion effects
4. Directly burn onto DVD disc or output as videos for youtube
